Cuevas Cantona has three terraces. The main terrace is at the front of the property and this is where you will find the swimming pool, chimenea style barbeque and covered dining area. The private terrace overlooks the Spanish countryside where the locals tend their olive, fig and pomegranate lined allotments daily. It's not unusual to see the locals going down to tend their land on mules. From this terrace you get a clear view of the Moorish tower on the edge of the village. This is illuminated at night and looks wonderful from the terrace. The sun is on this terrace during the second part of the day, so it is the perfect place to enjoy many beautiful sunsets. Cuevas Cantona has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps five people. The master bedroom has plenty of space for additional beds if required, for a small additional charge. Just contact us and we will certainly see if we can accommodate your requirements. Each bedroom has stunning views onto your very own private terrace and surrounding countryside. On a clear night you can sit at your window or lie in bed watching the stars. The cave has a fully equipped kitchen including electric oven and hob, washing machine, refrigerator and microwave. There is also a comfortable dining area in the kitchen, but you may prefer to eat outside on your own private terrace. The living room has a comfortable settee and armchairs with DVD player. Electric radiators are available to remove the chill from winter evenings. There is a rustic style fully refurbished bathroom. The cave house has a stunning hallway which leads to your own private terrace. This terrace has patio furniture and a barbeque during the summer months. There is also a seating area that is part of the cave. This terrace is not overlooked and is the perfect place just to relax; slow down; read a book or just enjoy the stunning views. The sun is on this terrace for most of the day, so it really is a lovely place to have your breakfast and gently ease yourself into the day. If you practice yoga I would say that this is an inspirational place to practice. We provide the essentials for your arrival of tea, coffee, sugar, water, milk and bread. We also offer a shopping service for your arrival. You just give us your shopping list a couple of days before arrival and we will get your requested items to the best of our ability. Please refer to our additional services page. There is also a comprehensive information file in the cave that contains local information; suggested days out; local and further afield walks - basically anything you will find useful during your stay. All in all, Cuevas Cantona is a fantastic base for walkers, cyclists, fisherman, photographers and artists to explore this relatively unknown and very beautiful part of Spain. This wonderful cave home also offers a peaceful retreat away from the stresses of everyday life. |
